A Pop of Lace

Hi there!

As September has arrived, I will officially become a student again, but this time, at a different university (gulp!). So, I've been on the hunt to find some new wardrobe items which are casual but a tad dressy, as I would love to look and feel my best for the new start in my life!

I simply loved this dress the moment I saw it appear on ASOS and I thought it was a perfect find to share with you. Firstly, it is a simple, long sleeved, black dress but with an added vintage flare! Secondly, it is designed by Pop Boutique whose clothing I love, as they stock great vintage style items and cute peter-pan collar dresses. *swoon*

Before long, my days will involve either attending lectures or completing placements and this dress is perfect for both! The material is stretchy so it is comfortable to wear whilst keeping busy, the design is casual yet smart and the long sleeves can help to keep you warm and toasty in these (soon to be) autumn months. 

Now, speaking of sleeves, this dress has cute lace cuffs with a small button attached to each one. I personally love them but the great thing about this design, is that the cuffs are easy to fold away under the fabric if you feel they look a bit too much or just fancy toning the lace down slightly.  

All in all, I know I will be wearing this dress ALOT as it makes a really easy but pretty outfit with the added lace embellishments. 

Team this dress with a pair of cute ballet pumps, a pop of colour on your lips and your good to go!

Introducing Ralph

Before I attempt posting about anything fashion/beauty related, I thought it would be a fitting start to introduce my Bichon-Frise Ralph, as i'm sure he will be making quite a few appearances on this blog!

He is my one-year-old little shadow and if I had to describe him in only three words, they would be cheeky, charming and loving.

Don't get me wrong, he is constantly pinching items from my make-up bag and chewing things he shouldn't *thinks back to a pink blusher related incident resulting in Ralph having very rosy cheeks* but he has a huge amount of love to give. He loves nothing more than having a cuddle on the sofa or running around like crazy and no matter where about's in the house you are, he will always be at your feet, following your every move.

If anyone reading this has the pleasure of being a proud owner of this breed, you will know how sweet-natured and loving these little dogs can be. They are incredibly playful and very cheerful and because of their size, can more or less travel with you anywhere you go. 

Apologies in advance for being a very 'snap-happy' dog owner, but I can't help but take handfuls of pictures of Ralph. He is my fluffiest and most enthusiastic companion, he keeps me entertained and smiling on a daily basis and I hope he can bring a smile to your face too.
